Daryl Short started working at Forvie NNR as a young loon back in 2007, and has just got through his nineteenth summer on the Reserve. Employed by NatureScot as a Reserve Officer, he’s a jack of all trades, being roughly one-third estate worker, one-third field biologist, and one-third people person. An eclectic mix, which is what makes it a great job! He lives in Collieston, next to the Reserve, and migration is one of his particular interests.
